Dresser-Rand CHP offers the Biogas CHP range of systems designed specifically to operate on renewable or green fuels. These include digester and landfill gases, biogases from process related digestion plants, and bio-diesels.
Biogas CHP is provided in a number of configurations to provide the best use of low BTU fuels such as digester, landfill or mines gas. Most common arrangements provide the same outputs as CHP - Hot Water but advanced digestion processes can be provided with both Hot Water and Steam for drying of the residual sludge.
Biodiesel CHP can be provided in any CHP configuration including Trigeneration applications and packaged to the same high standards as all Dresser-Rand CHP products. There are a limited number of engines available capable of burning liquid biofuels. These systems are part of the solution for customers seeking to develop Zero Carbon buildings and processes.
